First Netbook with Atom N455

In early February some information was leaked about the Atom N455 processor – the CPU that will likely take over from the N450. It was mentioned that netbooks with the Atom N455 would go on sale during the third quarter, but now a German website begin is taking preorders on a computer with the new processor.
The netbook is an HP Mini 210 – a follow-up to the Mini 102 and others – and it’s now available in an Atom N455-based version at Amazon.de. The model costs the equivalent of $400 and comes with Windows 7 Starter, 1GB of RAM and a 250 gigabyte hard drive.
Atom N455 is said to be set at 1.66 GHz clock speed and should be ready for DDR3 memory. The processor will also have a big brother in the form of N475, whose clock frequency is 1.83 gigahertz.
